国务院新闻办公室于2021年1月18日（星期一）上午10时举行新闻发布会，请国家统计局局长宁吉喆介绍2020年国民经济运行情况，并答记者问。

宁局长的发言中主要谈到了以下几点：

一、粮食产量再创新高，生猪生产持续较快恢复。

二、工业生产持续发展，高技术制造业和装备制造业较快增长。

三、服务业逐步恢复，现代服务业增势良好。

四、市场销售较快恢复，消费升级类商品销售增速加快。

五、固定资产投资稳步回升，高技术产业和社会领域投资增长较快。

六、对外贸易实现正增长，贸易结构持续优化。

七、居民消费价格涨幅回落，工业生产者价格下降。

八、就业形势总体稳定，城镇调查失业率回落至上年水平。

九、居民收入增长与经济增长基本同步，城乡居民人均收入比继续缩小。

本句翻译不是很难，摘录出来主要是因为2020年11月二笔考试汉译英出现了生猪，考生叫苦不迭，生猪到底和猪肉有什么区别呢？查阅百度百科资料发现，生猪的定义是：即生活着的猪，对未宰杀的除种猪以外的家猪的统称。而猪肉释义为：又名豚肉，是猪科动物家猪的肉。由此可见，二者相差甚远。

“分季度看”可以处理为状语quarterly，也可以省去不删，因为之后就是在说每一季度的增长情况。译文的亮点在于没有让四个季度轮流做主语翻译，而是把第一季度完整的翻译出来，接下来的则采取“合并同类项”方法，再用respectively修饰，简洁清楚。
